INTRODUCTION:

            The Department was established in the year 2011.There has been consistent development in all spheres including infrastructure,staff and student strength. The significant infrastructural design, well-equipped laboratories and hi-tech computers with high-speed internet facility with all qualified staff members ensure world-class standard of education delivered from our department to rural-based students

 

VISION:

               To produce graduates capable of effectively using the imparted scientific and technical knowledge with values for the betterment of society and to meet the dynamic demands of industry and research environment.

 

MISSION:

Offering under-graduate programmes by providing effective well-balanced curriculum to equip themselves to gear up to the challenges awaiting.
Providing the technical, research and intellectual resources that will enable the students to have a successful career in the field of electronics and communication engineering.
Providing the need-based training and professional skills to satisfy the needs of society and the industry.

 

PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEOs):

Graduates will be successful in professional career by acquiring the knowledge in the fundamentals of Electronics and Communication Engineering principles and professional skills.

Graduates will analyze the real life problems and design the socially accepted and economically feasible electronics and communication systems.

Graduates will be engage in life-long learning and professional development by pursuing higher studies and participating in professional organizations.

Graduates will exhibit good communication skills in their professional career and lead a team with good leadership traits and good interpersonal relationship with the members in other engineering teams.  

 

PROGRAMME OUTCOMES (POs):

Apply knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals and an engineering specialization to the emerging complex problems in electronics and communication engineering.

Identify, formulate, research literature and solve complex electronics and communication engineering problems using first principles of mathematics and engineering sciences.

Design solutions for complex electronics and communication engineering problems and design systems, components or processes that would meet specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.

Conduct investigations of complex problems including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of information to provide valid conclusions.

Create, select and apply appropriate techniques, resources and modern engineering tools, including prediction and modeling, to complex electronics and communication engineering activities, with an understanding of the limitations.

Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams and in multidisciplinary tasks.

Demonstrate understanding of the societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to engineering practice.

Demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of management and business practices and their limitations.

EVENTS:

                  ECE Department periodically conducts various activities, such as, seminars, symposiums, workshops, Mini project Contest and other programs that help to make the strong foundation in their fields and build the leadership quality and confidence level among the students. And also, our students have constantly produced very good academic records. 

 

 ACHIEVEMENTS:                          

Our department students participated in  various competitions and won many prizes. 

  1. III rd year ECE student P.Srinivasa pandian achieve Ist prize in paper presentation (Green chemistry).
  2. II nd year ECE students J.G.Jordin Deva Blessy and S.Nanthini has achieve 2nd  prize in paper presentation (Green chemistry).
  3. II nd year ECE students S.Nanthini and J.G.Jordin Deva Blessy  has achieve I st  prize in International conference (Title: Traffic grooming in WDM mesh network).
